Alcal Glass Systems of Sacrament, CA has partnered with facadeTek to engineer and supply turn-key facadeTek unitized curtain wall systems for the China Mobile International (CMI) Data Center Development project in San Jose, California. The 300,000-square-foot structure will be built for LEED Silver certification. The data center’s two wings will extend from a central building. The 70,000-square-foot main office will have a capacity of 200 people.
facadeTek scope of work is 438+/- units/30,000 SF. facadeTek also is manufacturing over 31,000SF of painted shadow boxes, glazed metal panels, insulation and galvanized back pans. Being a single source partner for these ancillary parts make for a smooth project and relieves our customers of significant coordination. These types of partnerships allow our customers more flexibility to utilize their own resources for specific tasks as well as accelerate their own schedules and secure additional backlog.
The design of this project is by Jacobs Architects. Mock-up is to be completed in early 2020 with the project units commencing in May of 2020.
